Seeing
is Believing
Our K-12 colleagues are adept at using visuals
as teaching tools. They know students can learn a great deal from photos,
paintings, artifacts, videos, and film. In this month's Thriving

CFA: 'Faculty Working Conditions are Student
Learning Conditions.'
Bernard W. Banks, a professor of mathematics at
California State Polytechnic University Pomona, takes part in the California
Faculty Association's fall teach-in. More than 15,000 faculty, staff,
students and community members turned out for CFA's Teach CSU events,
designed to increase support for higher education.
