Thriving in Academe authors proclaim that
it takes an entire campus to educate a student. At Alverno College in
Milwaukee, faculty and staff together take on the task of helping the

Kathleen Hull, Evelyn Beck, and Lisa Rosowski are
the winners of the 2001 Excellence Awards. The NEA Excellence in the Academy
Awards were started in 1999 to further NEA's commitment to excellence
in higher education and opportunity and success for all students at all
levels of learning.
