... about students at Duke and Georgetown Universities protesting a proposed code of conduct for apparel makers that does too little to ensure that products bearing the name of their schools are not made in sweatshops.

The students at the two traditional basketball powers attacked the code for not requiring disclosure of the names and addresses of all factories making products bearing the schools' names.

... about a federal appeals court decision upholding a Virginia law that bars state employees, including college professors, from using state computers to access pornography sites on the Internet.

The court rejected the challenge from six Virginia professors who argued the law infringed on their First Amendment rights.

"This is a devastating decision regarding free speech and academic freedom," said NEA attorney Mike Simpson.
