This new report notes that the "office economy" pays the highest salaries and is the fastest-growing sector of the workforce. These office workers, overall, earn 47 percent more than do non-office workers.

Who are office workers? Accountants, managers, writers, lawyers, lobbyists, corporate leaders---not support staff.

...about a union victory for the full-time faculty at Miami Dade Community College.

In an election where 91 percent of the eligible voters cast ballots, 69 percent choose the United Faculty of Miami-Dade Community College, an affiliate of the American Federation of Teachers, as the bargaining agent.

The college president responded to the union victory by abolishing the faculty senate and suspending shared governance. Faculty leaders are challenging the action.
