| Creating
Linked Pages
Secondary Page Layout
This is the format of all the secondary
pages in the local association web site templates. Start with this
page to create any new pages for the site. It will help you to keep
the navigation links updated consistently.
Naming Pages
If you are new to creating HTML, try to
use the file provided as a starting point. For example, the html
page linked to Contact Us is contact.html. In your browser window,
mouseover each navigation link to check each file name. It's ok
to change any of the linked files, just be sure to change the <a
href> tag. And make sure you make the same changes to all of
your pages, including the home page.
Using Macromedia Dreamweaver Template and Library
Items.
Included in the dowloadable zip file is
a folder called Templates and a folder called Library. If you are
an experienced Dreameaver user, you'll know just what to do with
the localweb.dwt file and the left-nav.lbi file. The details of
how to use Dreamweaver Templates are beyond the scope of this training.

Cascading Style Sheet
This site also provides a style
sheet that is used to maintain a consistent font size and
style. The style sheet is linked to document. Look for this html
source code:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="sytelsheet1.css"
type="text/css">
Here are the defined
styles.
